Beagle
The Beagle was bred in England to hunt hare in packs, tracking by scent for hours at a stretch rather than by sight, and that nose still runs the whole operation. They are merry, sociable dogs, happier in company than alone, with a distinctive bay that carries a long way once something interesting crosses their path. Live with one and you learn that a Beagle's nose generally overrules its manners.
Each portrait is an original watercolour: confident, visible brushstrokes on cold-press paper, in the tradition of natural-history illustration rather than smoothed-over digital art. Real paper grain, real pigment variation, the occasional soft bloom where wet colour met wet colour.
This portrait keeps that soft, houndy expression - the drooping ears and the nose that is already elsewhere.
Available coat colourways: Tricolour, Lemon, Red and Chocolate - match the portrait to your own dog, or simply choose the one you love most.
