Who we are
Sable & Ochre makes watercolour portraits of the animals people love, in the exact colours of the coat they actually have.
We believe the animals who shape our lives deserve to be remembered as more than a photo buried in a camera roll. Not a filter. Not a template. The real ones: the tilt of the head, the exact colour of the coat, the look that is unmistakably yours.
Every portrait starts as a watercolour study: loose, confident brushwork, in the spirit of classic natural-history illustration. It is made with AI image generation, then reviewed, corrected and refined by a person until it is right. Not close. Right.
Each portrait is printed on archival matte paper built to hold its colour for decades, because a memory worth keeping deserves to actually last. Prefer to print it yourself? Every portrait also comes as a digital download.

Sable & Ochre is a one-person shop, run by Albin Wikström from Skåne, Sweden. When you write to contact@sableandochre.com, it is Albin who answers. Being small is why every portrait gets looked at, and why a mistake gets fixed instead of passed along.
Sable & Ochre is a small shop in Skåne, Sweden, selling watercolour-style art prints of dog, cat, horse and rabbit breeds.
The portraits are made with AI image generation. A person checks each one before it goes on sale and redoes the ones that are wrong for the breed. Most breeds come in several coat colourways, each a separate artwork, so you can pick the one that looks like your own animal.
Every portrait comes two ways: a digital download you print yourself, or an archival matte poster printed after you order. European orders are printed in Prague and US orders in Philadelphia.
