Shipping
Nothing here sits in a warehouse. Every poster is printed after you order it, which is why there is a production window before anything ships — and why a download, which has nothing to print, arrives straight away.
How long it takes
| What you ordered | Before it ships |
|---|---|
| Digital download | Immediately at checkout |
| Archival matte poster | Up to 10 working days |
Ten working days is the outside figure both of our print partners quote, not a best case. In practice they are much faster than that — both currently average under two working days from order to dispatch. We publish the slow number rather than the flattering one, because a promise you have to apologise for is worse than a cautious one you beat. Delivery time is added on top of this, not counted inside it.
Where your poster is printed
We print close to you rather than shipping one poster across an ocean. Which partner makes your print depends on where it is going.
| Shipping to | Printed by | Printed in |
|---|---|---|
| Europe, the UK and EFTA | OPT OnDemand | Prague, Czechia |
| The United States | Today's Graphics | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania |
Both print on heavyweight archival matte paper, and both are specialist poster partners for their region rather than general merchandise printers. It also means your poster never crosses the Atlantic to reach you — a European order is made in Europe, an American order is made in America.
A word on where things are made, since “printed in Prague” and “made in Europe” sometimes get treated as different claims. They are not. The printing, the inks, the finishing and the packing all happen at the press named above, and under EU origin rules that is what settles where a printed poster comes from — turning blank stock into printed matter is the substantial step, not milling the pulp. A European order is a European product, and an American order is an American one.
The archival stock itself is bought on the world market, as nearly all fine-art paper is: our European partner sources its paper from China, and our American partner describes its posters as assembled in the USA from globally sourced parts. We would rather write that down than have you wonder about it. It changes nothing about what reaches you — museum-grade archival paper, pigment inks, and a print shop that was among the first in Europe to hold REACH certification.
Delivery estimates
These are transit times after your poster leaves the press, not from the moment you order. The exact estimate for your address is always shown at checkout before you pay.
| Destination | Typical transit |
|---|---|
| Germany | 1–2 working days |
| Czechia | 2–3 working days |
| Rest of the European Union | 5–8 working days |
| Ireland and the United Kingdom | 5–15 working days |
| Sweden, Northern Europe and EFTA | 5–15 working days |
| United States | 2–5 working days |
| Alaska, Hawaii and US territories | Add 7–12 working days |
What shipping costs
Shipping is worked out at checkout from your actual address — it is never buried inside the price of the print. Free shipping starts at 500 kr, and that bar is set in your own currency rather than converted from ours: €45 across the eurozone, £39 in the United Kingdom, $55 in the United States, 340 kr in Denmark, 500 kr in Norway, 1 100 Kč in Czechia, 6 500 kr in Iceland and CHF 45 in Switzerland. The figure that applies to you is always the one shown at checkout.
Ordering more than one poster is cheaper than ordering them separately: additional prints in the same order add only a small amount to the shipping total, because they travel in the same tube.
Where we ship
Sweden · Germany · Czechia · the rest of the European Union (Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain) · Ireland and the United Kingdom · Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Liechtenstein · and the United States.
If your country is not offered at checkout and you would still like a piece, write to us — we will find out what it would take.
Tracking
You will get an email with a tracking link the moment your order leaves the press. Until then, the order is genuinely still being made.
Customs and duties
Because we print inside your own region, most orders never cross a customs border at all. An order inside the European Union is printed in Czechia and stays within the EU customs union. An order inside the United States is printed in Pennsylvania and stays domestic. In both cases there is nothing to pay on delivery.
Five destinations are the exception. The United Kingdom, Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Iceland sit outside the EU customs union, so a poster printed in Czechia does cross a border to reach them. Depending on the value of your order and your country's own rules, import VAT and a carrier handling fee may be charged before delivery. Those charges are set by your government, not by us, and we cannot waive them. We would rather tell you that here than let it arrive as a surprise at your door.
Digital downloads
A download has no shipping, no address and no waiting. The file appears on the confirmation page and in your email as soon as the payment clears. Details of what you can do with it are on the FAQ.
